A lifelong Hokie who grew up in the Blacksburg/New River Valley area, Jarrid began his tenure in the Office of Admissions as a student worker in 2011. After earning dual Bachelor's degrees from Virginia Tech in 2013, he served as an Admissions Advisor with the office for one year. He then went on to earn his Master's degree at the University of California, Berkeley, before returning to the Office of Admissions as an Assistant Director in 2017. Now serving as a Senior Assistant Director, Jarrid leads the Transfer Team in coordinating Transfer recruitment and programming initiatives.
Outside of work, Jarrid loves to watch soccer and cheer for his favorite team, AS Roma. He has a passion for ancient Mediterranean history, languages, and archaeology, and spent two summers excavating a Roman shipwreck underwater off the coast of Sicily!
