Veteran Admissions
Veterans Benefits Begin at Application for Admission
Virginia Tech's dedication to veterans goes beyond being named a Military Friendly School by VIQTORY for 2021-2022 and we continue to be a Certified V3 Employer. Not only does the university as a whole value our veterans, but also the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is dedicated to being supportive of our veterans who are transitioning to Virginia Tech.
For starters, the deposit and application fee of $60 is waived for any veteran who wishes to continue their undergraduate education at Virginia Tech. Click to view the Veteran Application Checklist.
For veterans who are exploring transferring to Virginia Tech, we have several opportunities that may be of interest. Simply call or email us with any questions you may have.
In addition, the Office of Veterans Services helps veterans, their spouses, and their dependents navigate all educational benefits available.

Note: It is the responsibility of each applicant to submit all required information and materials as soon as possible. Completed applications will receive priority in the review process. Because of time constraints, it is not always possible for the admissions office to request missing information. When submitting supplemental materials separate from the application, make sure your name, date of birth, and college name are included on all pieces. Also, be sure to include your current name, if different from the name on the materials.
To help us and yourself, please review the above checklist carefully. The university reserves the right to withdraw, without notice, any application that is not complete by the deadline.
