Non-Degree Applicants
You are a Non-Degree Applicant if you are:
- A student who wants to take a few courses at Virginia Tech and transfer them back to your primary college/university.
- Someone who needs to take a few courses to help in your career, for teacher certification, or self-enrichment.
- Someone who has not recently been denied admission to Virginia Tech.
- A current high school student with approval to enroll as a non-degree seeking student from their high school administration and for coursework not available at a local community college. To apply, please compete the non-degree application. You must submit the $60 application fee and all required transcripts before the application will be reviewed.
Please note that Financial Aid is not available for students with an approved non-degree status.

If you are a former Virginia Tech undergraduate student, do not submit this application. You must contact the department you were last with and they will reinstate you as a student.
